Confessions of a Shopaholic, directed by PJ Hogan is based on Sophie Kinsella's series of books where Isla Fisher gets a come-back, playing herself a leading role as Rebecca, working as a journalist who loves to spend money on shopping. The director has screen-played this movie with funny & romantic moves, showing the audiences how Rebecca repays her huge debt that rises due to her shopping addiction. At three stage, they loses her job & gets herself fit in to journalism again,
but this time it is for writing financial matters. Another element of the film to enjoy, was the relationship between Rebecca & her best mate Suze played by Krysten Ritter. Suze despairs of Rebecca & does everything they can to curb her friend's spending.Rebecca is being pursued by a geek debt collector, Derek Smeath played by Robert Smeath, who will not give up for anything. Rebecca's Boss at the financial magazine is Luke Brandon played by Hugh Dancy,
has a romantic role over her which helps herself to stay away from her financial problems.Other minor characters who all add interest & enjoyment to the film are Rebecca's parents played by Joan Cusak & John Goodman having plenty of fun as they have opted for an unconventional & unfashionable lifestyle which is so different from their daughters.
